Feast Of First Fruits

          Feast of first fruits!

Just six days ago, we were giving thanks for all the blooms in our strawberry patch.  And then, the rains came that we had hoped and prayed for.  Now, the first fruits of this year’s crop has come in.  And it was just in time for us to celebrate Shavuot- the Feast of First Fruits.

On Sunday, all of us here at Fieldstone Orchard spent the day together with our community from Lawrence.  We were about eighty friends all gathered here at our farm for the day.  Despite the rain, we spent our day giving thanks and enjoying our life together.  Among the many things we gave thanks for were our strawberries!

Now, we are waiting for the rain to stop and the patch to dry up a little and we plan to be open for the season!  Keep watching here for the announcement that “We’re Open!”  Or, give us a call. We look forward to seeing you soon!
