Perfect weather for picking Asian Pears
We could not have asked for a better day. The cloudy, cool morning and the dew on the grass almost made you wish you had a hoodie on. But just before lunch time, the sun finally threw off the covers; creating a bright and pleasantly warm afternoon. Some wonderful friends from Lawrence stopped by and helped us pick apples and pears, as well as some yellow pear tomatoes. We talked, laughed, and enjoyed the day as we climbed our ladders to reach high into the trees. We were intent on gathering every apple and pear we could reach.
But, there are still plenty more for you, too. Don’t wait too long, though. Come on out and join us in the orchard. We hope to see you there.
Our hours are:
Sunday- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Saturday: Closed for the Sabbath
