Blackberries –
It is hard to imagine going through a summer without visiting the blackberry bushes. They are so fun to pick. You scan the bramble of 
berries, looking for the darkest blackest ones, wondering if this one is ready. Squeezing the berries is always the best way to see. If they still feel like corn on the cob, they’re not quite there yet. But if you find that supple berry that is just begging you to eat it, it was worth that mid-summer sweat that you and your family endured.
We’re just as excited to pick them too. We’ve started with the first ripenings, and we’ve been getting some blackberry cobbler ready for your arrival. Maybe a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go along with your freshly steamed cobbler will make you wonder why summer isn’t an all year occasion. We look forward to seeing you!
