Ice Breakers

When its cold outside and you just can’t imagine working any longer in the blistering blizzardry of winter, these ducks just make you wonder if its really is all that bad.  They are able to fully function as if in a normal spring day, as they dive under the water looking for food.  We were amazed at their tenacity to keep the ice clusters free from a certain swimming section they love to frequent.

These are our Rouen Ducks, and quite often get confused with their smaller cousins, the Mallards.  We love watching them walk around the farm and do underwater gymnastics!When you come by this spring you might see much more of our little Rouen flock.  Perhaps ducklings aren’t in the too distant future.
